General Conference Prayer Vigil

UM General Conference1920x485

United Methodists are connected across the world, and every four years, the church comes together for General Conference, which is the top policy-making body of The United Methodist Church. The General Conference can revise church law, as well as adopt resolutions on current moral, social, public policy and economic issues. It also approves plans and budgets for church-wide programs.

General Conference will take place in Portland, Oregon from May 10-20, 2016, and we are asking for your prayers.  Specifically, we are taking part in a conference-wide prayer vigil on Friday, May 6. Members of First United Methodist Church of Allen and Living Life Church have been asked to pray between 3:30-4:00pm.

Please be in prayer that God will be at the center of every aspect of General Conference, pray for the world-wide church and the General Conference as a whole, and pray for the delegates from our annual conference.
