Holiday Challenge 2016

This holiday season, FUMC Allen has assembled a variety of mission opportunities by which you can Change The World. We’re calling on everyone to accept our Change the World Holiday Challenge, which officially begins on Sunday, November 6. Registration is now underway for many of the challenge projects.

Helpers in School (H.I.S.) has partnered with Boyd Elementary to provide gifts for their Holiday Store, a place where children can shop for presents to give to their families. You can help by donating new or slightly used gift bags, tape, small boxes, wrapping paper, bows, scented body lotions, cologne, gloves, scarves, wraps, ties, jewelry, headwear, purses, wallets, board games, tech items, or picture frames. We also need people to help with the store, which will be open during school hour December 5-15. Contact Trish Moreheard.

Each year, ACO asks the community to donate new, unwrapped toys, OR to “adopt” a child, teen, or senior for Christmas. Those who adopt are provided the person’s wish list with clothing sizes and much-needed items. As the donor, you are asked to make someone’s holiday a little happier by purchasing new clothes and needs AND maybe a special item from their wish list. Can you help?
