The goal of the Faith Academy is to provide opportunities for study and growth in faith and in life. The vision of the Academy is to offer you not only the opportunity to study God’s word, but also the chance to meet together with other adults in fellowship, learning from one another through your different life experiences.

Through various studies and shared experiences, we hope you will that place where your faith and life meet, leading you to a deeper, more fulfilling relationship with Jesus Christ.

We offer a variety of classes for the, the body, and the soul that meet each day of the week.

Learn more of what is so fundamental to our faith by completing another Disciple class.  If you have previously taken Disciple 2, experience it once more at this time in your life and find how the Bible comes alive and speaks to where we are today. Childcare available with reservation.

Disciple IV

Thursdays, September 10, 2015
32 weeks
Susan Hale, facilitator- Materials fee: $40

The study concentrates on the Writings (Old Testament books not in the Torah or the Prophets), the Gospel of John, and Revelation.
Emphasis on the Psalms as Israel’s hymnbook and prayer book leads natural to an emphasis on worship in the study. Present through the entire study is the sense of living toward completion – toward the climax of the message and the promise, extravagantly pictured in the Revelation.

Set Apart

Tuesdays, September 8
6 weeks
Bernie Dickson, facilitator
Materials fee: $12

Set Apart is a dynamic six-week study of 1 and 2 Kings that examines the holy habits of the prophets and kings who were set apart by their close walk with God. Each week we will explore the central story of one of these intriguing men of God and the specific practice each observed, as well as what the Bible teaches about this practice. Childcare is not available for this class.

This I Know For Sure

Whether you are wrestling with questions or fears, struggling in your relationships, or facing a health, financial, or other crisis, these principles will enable you to trust God with your doubts, cease your wavering, and drive a spiritual stake of faith in the ground. This six-week study for women explores what God has to say to us about grace and forgiveness through Joseph’s story of trial and triumph found in Genesis 37-50. As we study his dreams, his betrayers, his dysfunctional family, his struggle to forgive, and his journey toward reconciliation, we’ll find truths that echo into our own personal situations as well as practical help for answering common questions about hurt, forgiveness and reconciliation.

Ten Men of the Bible

Wednesdays, September 9, 2015
10 Weeks
Richard Prince, facilitator
Materials Fee: $14

The men depicted in the Bible were not perfect by any means. We find story after story marked by scandal, failure, and intrigue. Yet we also find many stories of men who were able to look beyond their circumstances, completely trust in the Lord, and follow Him wherever He chose to them. Like us, these men made both good and bad decisions along the way—and experienced both good and bad consequences—and we find our struggles and hopes in the pages of the Bible that tells their stories.
